Bristol Rovers youngster Harvey Greenslade has started life on loan at Chippenham Town in impressive fashion.

The striker, 18, scored on his home debut for the National League South side over the weekend.

They beat Sholing 3-0 at Hardenhuish Park to progress to the next qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Greenslade chipped in with the third goal with a cool finish (see below, 5.50) in what ended up being a comfortable Saturday afternoon.

One for the future at Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers gave him the green light to head out the exit door earlier this month to get more experience under his belt.

He linked up with Chippenham on a temporary deal until January and his parent club will be hoping he can get plenty of game time.

Greenslade has been on the books of the Gas for his whole career to date and has risen up through the acadmey ranks of the League One side.

He penned his first professional contract in May and was handed his senior debut at the end of August in a Papa John’s Trophy clash against Plymouth Argyle.

This isn’t the first time he has been out on loan either, with the teenager already experiencing stints with Cinderford Town, Tuffley Rovers and Tiverton Town in the past.

Next up for Chippenham is another game on home soil against Dulwich Hamlet this weekend as Greenslade looks to make it two goals in two.

Bristol Rovers, on the other hand, have Accrington Stanley at the Memorial Ground this Saturday.
