Bristol Rovers are without the suspended Jarell Quansah after he was sent off against Pompey. Midfield pair Jordan Rossiter and Paul Coutts also remain out of action. The latter has sustained a knee injury and is expected to be out until the end of the season.

On a more positive note, winger Harry Anderson could make his return to the squad. However, Barton won’t want to rush him back in if he isn’t ready and will have to make a decision.

Charlton beat Shrewsbury Town 6-0 at The Valley last weekend so will be in a confident mood for their trip to face the Gas. Right-back Todd Kane, who is on loan from Championship side Coventry City, is closing in on his return but it remains to be seen whether he will play.

Defensive pair Mandela Egbo and Ryan Inniss have been nursing slight injuries but have been declared fit. The Addicks are currently 12th in the league and are seven points above Bristol Rovers as they look to end this campaign on a high under ex-Bristol City manager Dean Holden.
