Bristol Rovers are in FA Cup action on Tuesday as they welcome Oxford United to the Memorial Stadium in a first round replay.

The Gas twice fell behind but Sam Finley and a late Antony Evans penalty kept them in the competition.

Each team now knows that a home match against Sutton United awaits the victor, with the tie to take place between Friday 3rd December and Monday 6th December. The winning team will also pocket £22,629.

Coming into the fixture, Rovers won 2-1 against Northampton with Josh Grant and Antony Evans on target. They won despite the red card handed to former Stoke City midfielder Glenn Whelan.

The opposition meanwhile played to a goalless draw with Ipswich Town in League One, which keeps them unbeaten in six games across all competitions.

Something that goes against Rovers is that in their last three meetings, Karl Robinsons side are unbeaten whilst in their last ten meetings with Oxford at the Mem, they’ve only won on two occasions.

Withdrawn after his goal got Rovers back on level terms, Josh Grant was withdrawn due to cramp, as was match-winner Evans. The pair should be okay to play to feature tomorrow and will be up for it after their performances.

Grant is expected to continue in his makeshift role as left-wing back whilst Junior Brown and Trevor Clarke are still out, meaning Harry Anderson will play on the other flank.

The striking shortage continues with Brett Pitman, Harvey Saunders and Leon Clarke all still unavailable for selection. Aaron Collins was brought on for the last few moments but was unable to make an impact, so he shouldn’t be expected to start.

What’s the latest team news for Oxford United?

Goalkeeper Jack Stevens is back in training but is still some way off of first-team action as he continues his recovery from glandular fever.

Injured in the previous meeting between the two, midfielder Alex Rodríguez Gorrin will spend a lengthy period on the sidelines after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

Another absentee is on-loan Cardiff City winger Gavin Whyte who is on international duty with Northern Ireland.

The man to keep an eye on is former Rovers striker Matty Taylor, who scored and assisted in the match, which gave him his eighth goal contribution in his last six matches.

Is the match on TV?

Both the BBC and ITV have chosen not to air this replay and instead Solihull Moors v Wigan Athletic will be on the television screen on Tuesday.

As this is an FA Cup match, you will be unable to buy an iFollow pass for it, as it isn’t part of the Football League.

How can I watch highlights?

There is no programme for FA Cup replays, but they may appear pre-match before BBC One’s live match of Stockport County v Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday evening.

Highlights should appear on the BBC Football website after the match, as well as the YouTube channel of the Emirates FA Cup.
