£4m star dropped - Bristol Rovers predicted line up to face Charlton - gallery

Here’s what we predict Bristol Rovers' starting lineup to look like for Tuesday's EFL League One clash against Charlton Athletic.

Bristol Rovers are on their travels again as they face Charlton Athletic at The Valley under the floodlights on Tuesday night.

The Gas hope to maintain their unbeaten start to their league campaign following draws with Portsmouth and Barnsley. Both sides are considered to be in the promotion mix and the Addicks are another team that are being predicted to be up there come May.

Rovers performed well against Barnsley and thoroughly deserved their point against them but could have had all three. Substitute Scott Sinclair got an equaliser but John Marquis had a handful of chances, and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Antony Evans and Luke Thomas both put in impressive performances with Thomas enjoying his return to the Memorial Stadium so far with a goal and an assist.

This is the first match that Joey Barton will be in the dugout for after serving a three-game stadium ban this season, for what happened against Sheffield Wednesday earlier this year. Andy Mangan has overseen first-team affairs on a match-day but Barton was helping at the training ground in the build-up to the matches.

In the build-up to the match, Rovers are said to be closing in on the season-long loan signing of Harvey Vale from Chelsea, though it may be too late for him to make his debut.

With all that said, below is how we think Bristol Rovers will line up against Charlton this evening, with only one major change being made. What do you think, is this your side to face the men from South London?
