There were memorable scenes at the Memorial Stadium on Boxing Day as Bristol Rovers snatched a dramatic late win against League One title favourites Portsmouth.

The two sides looked to be heading for a share of the points after Anthony Evans' opener was cancelled out by an equaliser from Pompey winger Paddy Lane. But Rovers would not be denied and they became only the second side to take maximum points from Portsmouth when Luke Thomas grabbed a winning goal in the fourth minute of second-half injury-time.

The result helped Matt Taylor's side bounce back from Saturday's disappointing defeat at Bolton Wanderers in the best possible fashion and ensured Rovers head into Friday night's home clash with Charlton Athletic in a positive frame of mind.
