Bristol Rovers predicted XI vs Blackpool: Gas face midfielder crisis with key player a doubt - gallery

Bristol Rovers look to bounce back after their FA Cup exit as they welcome Blackpool to the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Bristol Rovers host Blackpool at the Mem on the weekend as they look to extend their unbeaten home run in the league to 10 matches.

The Gas will need to dust themselves down, and quick, following their midweek FA Cup third-round replay exit at home to Norwich City. Wycombe Wanderers were the last side to beat the Gas at the Mem and that was back in August, so Matt Taylor will be hoping that his side can put in a good performance on the weekend to continue this unbeaten league streak.

The two sides only met last month at Bloomfield Road, where Neil Critchley's men ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Oliver Norburn, Jake Beesley and star-striker Jordan Rhodes. The Seasider's were also dumped out of the FA Cup in midweek, as they took Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest to extra-time in their third-round replay, where Chris Wood sealed the deal 10 minutes from time.

Both sides will undoubtably feel leggy come Saturday and the Mem faithful will play a huge part in helping Rovers get over the line. We have given it our best shot in predicting the Gas may line-up as a key midfielder is a doubt following Wednesday's cup exit.

Bristol Rovers predicted XI: (3-4-1-2)
