Bristol Rovers have issued a conduct warning to supporters ahead of their final game of the season with Scunthorpe United.

The Memorial Stadium will be sold out for the fifth time this season in what is the final home game of the League Two campaign.

Rovers are still in contention for an automatic promotion spot which has created an increased demand for tickets, but the additional ones on sale by the club were snapped up in less than a minute.

The Mem holds a capacity crowd of 12,300 and Filton will be abuzz with excitement for Saturday’s 3pm kickoff as Joey Barton and his team look to grab third spot in League Two.

“We are aware of concern amongst fans that tickets were purchased with a view to being sold on for a profit. The club will be monitoring social media sites and anyone selling tickets on these will have the tickets cancelled with no refunds issued,” said a statement released from Rovers on Thursday.

The club say they can reissue tickets for any supporters unable to make the match.

Rovers also say that any supporters without tickets will not be able to gain entry and that random ticket checks will take place on the weekend too. The use of pyrotechnics has also been discouraged.

The Gas need to better Northampton’s result in their final match of the season to grab third, and hope that other results go their way.

A win against already relegated Scunthorpe United would mean that the Cobblers must win too to keep their place in the table, but it could come down to goal difference, although the Pirates would have to overcome a five-goal deficit to overtake Jon Brady’s side.

The play-offs will beckon if Rovers finish fourth or lower in League Two.

“Supporters are reminded that anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated,” the club add in their address to fans.

Ahead of the important fixture with Scunthorpe this weekend, we would like to provide a number of reminders for supporters prior to the game.

Firstly, we are aware of concern amongst fans that tickets were purchased with a view to being sold on for a profit. The club will be monitoring social media sites and anyone selling tickets on these will have the tickets cancelled with no refunds issued. All supporters are reminded that tickets are non-transferable and it is a criminal offence to sell tickets on. Those found to be doing so may be prosecuted.

Given the match is sold out, if there are any season ticket holders that are unable to attend the game, please let us know. In these scenarios, we are able to cancel your tickets and make them available for supporters to purchase.

Any supporters without tickets will not be permitted onto the site. Random ticket checks will take place. Supporters with tickets for the South section of the East Terrace will need to gain access to the stadium via turnstiles 24-46 and are to exit the stadium next to the Club Shop.

We’d encourage all supporters to arrive at the stadium as early as possible as additional searching regimes will be in place prior to entry. We expect the Thatchers Bar to reach full capacity so we’d advise all supporters to arrive early if you are planning on using that space. Once we reach capacity, no further entry will be permitted.

Those supporters with car parking are encouraged to arrive as early as possible to secure their space. Access to the car park will not be permitted after 2.30pm as we are expecting congestion with vehicles and pedestrian traffic due to the scale of the fixture.

Any supporters attending the match and wishing to make use of the Fanzone pre-match are not permitted to bring any alcohol onto the site or any bottles or cans. There will be additional checks prior to entry and any items brought onto the site will be confiscated. There will be additional bars installed in the Fanzone to help meet demand.

Supporters are reminded that anti-social behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Every supporter in a seated area must sit in their allocated seat as every area is sold out. Supporters in a terrace area must remain in the area where their ticket is purchased.

Supporters are not permitted to stand in any stairways at the stadium.

The club has a zero-tolerance policy on the usage of any pyrotechnics on site. Those that are found in possession of or using any pyro will be identified and sanctioned.

Visiting supporters attending the game should access the stadium via Trubshaw Close.
