His manager’s intention was to give some a well earned rest before the last six game push of the campaign.
“He is refreshed, he is rebooted and he looks in a good condition,” said Taylor. “So in terms of him going back into the fold, it is great to have a body like his back in the mix and hopefully that body will be firing on all cylinders and he will be playing to his absolute maximum.

The former Rotherham United manager confirmed that the only other player that could be back and in contention to feature on Saturday is Jack Hunt. The former Sheffield Wednesday player hasn’t featured for over a month after suffering concussion after just five minutes into Rovers’ 1-0 win against Leyton Orient back at the start of March.
“His first day back on the grass was today in a team capacity,” said Taylor. “It is just whether or not we can push him towards the weekend, or we wait until Tuesday, or the following week.

We will make a decision tomorrow, if not Saturday morning in relation to that one,” he added.
The Gas are winless and goalless in their last five games and it will be a tough task to stop promotion-pushing Bolton Wanderers this weekend, who have a new talisman in former Rovers player, Aaron Collins at their disposal, who scored a hat-trick in the Trotters’ 5-2 thumping of Reading on Monday.
Therefore, Taylor will be delighted to welcome back both Conteh and Hunt in whatever capacity, to nullify the threat that Ian Evatt’s side possess.
