Bristol Rovers have until the end of the month to complete any transfer business

Bristol Rovers turned to former Brighton and Hove Albion man Inigo Calderon as their new manager earlier this winter. They brought him in after making the decision to part company with Matt Taylor.

Bristol Rovers won 3-1 at home to promotion chasing Barnsley last time out in an eye-catching result. Gatlin O’Donkor, Isaac Hutchinson and Ruel Sotiriou got their goals against the Tykes.

The Pirates have the chance to bolster their ranks with some signings before the end of the transfer window. They also have the opportunity to let some players leave before the deadline as well.

Notts County landed him on loan last summer and he was given the green light to link up with the Magpies on a temporary basis. However, he has struggled to make an impact at Meadow Lane.

Brown is an experienced player in the Football League and he has played over 300 matches to date. He has had spells in the past at Cambridge United, Colchester, Forest Green Rovers and Exeter City.

The Hertfordshire-born man was a hit during his time with the latter and found the net on 21 occasions in 81 matches before the Gas swooped in. His situation is now up in the air amid attention from some new teams.

What next for Bristol Rovers?

Bristol Rovers are back in action on Saturday with an away trip to the North West to face Wigan Athletic as they look to build on their victory over Barnsley. Speaking after their win against the Tykes, Calderon said: “I think we all deserve that. The game against Ipswich was not a good moment for us because I don’t think we were ready for that game, and it is true that it was a difficult defeat. I’m so pleased with the boys, for the staff, for the fans obviously because I think we found a way to win today and probably could have scored a couple more. For me, the boys did great today and the same as Cambridge.

“You have to find a way. To get out of the situation we are because we are still in a bad situation, you are going to win like that. I would like to win controlling the game and be more pretty, but you have to win like that, and I think that’s a credit to the boys because they found a way, especially against a team that was in a good run.”
