Who will ever forget the scenes as the Rovers faithful celebrated on the Memorial Ground pitch after loan star Elliot Anderson grabbed the decisive goal in a dramatic 7-0 win against Scunthorpe United that edged out Northampton Town and secured the third and final promotion spot for Joey Barton’s side?
There have been some high points during Rovers’ return to the third tier of English football and they look set to secure a mid-table finish between now and the end of a long and challenging season.
