Bristol Rovers are counting down the days until they're back in stadiums, cheering on their team again. The 2022/23 League One season finished for the Gas on Sunday, May 7, and it's not long now until they can start planning for the new campaign.
The 2023/24 league fixtures are due to be released on Friday, June 23 at 9.00 am, and then will come the Carabao Cup and EFL Trophy fixtures too. Rovers fans are hoping for an improvement on an 18th-placed finish recorded last term, and are awaiting the new faces that are meant to be joining. Rovers have persuaded all four players they've offered contracts; Josh Grant, Grant Ward, Harvey Greenslade and Ryan Jones to come on board for another season, and that's set things up nicely.
A few players have been linked, like Will Osula from Sheffield United and Josh Dacres-Cogley from Tranmere Rovers, but one player we can cross off is Lewis Gibson. The 22-year-old is unlikely to return after being offered a new contract by Everton.
To try and fill the gap of no fixtures, and next to nothing transfer speculation, we've put together a gallery of Rovers fans supporting the club throughout the years. There's been some memorable games, such as the play-off win over Lincoln City, as well as trips to Chelsea where they saw Peter Hartley score, and then there were home games against Forest Green Rovers and Scunthorpe United which fans will never forget.
Can you spot yourselves in these photos? Share them with your friends, and hopefully we'll have more pictures to bring you next season.
