Bristol Rovers are back in League One after their promotion last season.

Bristol Rovers have been busy since securing their promotion from League Two.

The Pirates have bolstered their ranks by bringing in defender James Connolly on a permanent basis from Cardiff City, full-back James Gibbons from Port Vale, midfielder Jordan Rossiter from Fleetwood Town and striker John Marquis from Lincoln City.

Joey Barton’s side are currently hard at work preparing for the new season and they are back in pre-season action this evening away at non-league outfit Bath City.

Bristol Rovers kick-start the 2022/23 campaign at home to fellow newly promoted club Forest Green Rovers, before facing a trip to Burton Albion.

They still have plenty of time over the next couple of weeks to bolster their squad further and the loan market is one they could look to delve into.
