Bristol Manor Farm are in play-off action tonight as they travel to the Robin’s Nest to play Frome Town in the Southern Football League.

A coach has been put on by the non-league Bristol club for the 76.6 mile-round journey, as just three days from the conclusion of the regular season, they play play a vital match.

Bristol Manor farm, also known as the Portwaymen play their home matches at the Creek stadium.

They play in the Southern League Division One South which is the eighth tier of English football.

The club is now 62 years old, after being established back in the 1960-61 season.

The Farms Stadium, located in the Sea Mills area of Bristol holds up to 2000 fans on a matchday and has a unique feature of a train-track right beside it, where it often passes through when games are being played.

Bristol Manor Farm have had an excellent season finishing in fifth position They only lost seven out of their 36 games, winning 20 of them.

They clinched their place on the final day of the season with a 2-2 draw against Winchester City, with Owen Howe securing their place with an 83rd minute equaliser, finishing above AFC Totton.

Manor Farm are managed by Lee Lashenko.

What Bristol Manor players are there to watch out for?

The whole Bristol Manor Farm squad have performed extremely well this season, but there have undoubtedly been some stand out players. Forward Owen How has managed to find the net 25 times this season from 37 appearances, averaging 0.67 goals per match.

Howe has played for the likes of Weston-super-Mare, Salisubyr and Taunton Town who all play at a higher level.

Like Howe, strike partner Kye Simpson has also had a splendid season, bagging 16 goals this season despite only being featured 22 times. The 31 year-old has an average of 0.72 goals per game, that’s just over two goals every three matches.

How do the play-offs work?

Bristol Manor Farm fans and supporters will be hoping that their forwards can bring their fine form into tonight’s playoff semi final fixture versus Frome Town FC.

If Manor Farm win tonight they will be playing the winner of the other semi final, also being played tonight. Cirencester Town or Winchester City are the two teams they could play if the Portwaymen make it into the final.

Where would they play if promoted?

Promotion for the Farm will move them up to the seventh division of the English Football League.

That would see them play the likes of Yate Town and Swindon Supermarine, as well as a potential trip to Cornwall to face Truro City.
