Elsewhere in the side, Aimee Palmer has four assists this year, whilst goalkeeper Francesca Bentley has kept seven clean sheets this season.

Ahead of the match, midfielder Gwen Davies spoke to Robins TV about the opposition and said: “I think it's important that we continue our momentum because obviously we have had a good run of games and we don't want to be complacent because they're (Sheffield United) going to come out strong against us. We are prepared and ready to go for this weekend.

“I think they (Sheffield United) have a really strong front line and they’re a big threat to us but it’s nothing that we haven’t came up against before in the league, so if we stay strong and keep fighting we should be okay.”

Davies penned her first professional deal in January after joining on an amateur basis in the summer, recovering well from a knee ligament injury to later become a first-team regular, starting seven matches whilst getting two assists.

Sheffield United are managed by Neil Redfearn, who was previously manager of Leeds United and Rotherham United in the men’s game.

Their top scorer is Courtney Sweetman-Kirk, who can also be seen as a pundit for Sky Sports News. She has found the net nine times this year, combining her media duties with her career. Lucy Watson is not far behind her and has seven goals this season as well as four assists so she will be one player to keep an eye on.

United have fairly respectable home form with five wins, one draw and three losses, so City will need to be at their best if they are to get maximum point.
