The latest transfer headlines for Bristol City and their rivals during the summer window.

Bristol City’s pre-season is now underway but there is still the transfer window to tackle before they can shift their attention to their upcoming Championship campaign. As always, Alex Scott exit links swirl as Premier League sides hawk over his current situation. Here are the latest updates for the Robins as they continue their mission to strengthen their side and improve on last season’s league finish.

League One club sign Robins defender

Wycombe Wanderers have officially signed former Robins defender Joe Low on a permanent deal folllowing his recent successful trial period. He is the League One club’s sixth signing of the season — details of the deal are yet to be announced.

The 21-year-old defender moves on after failing to make a real breakthrough into Nigel Pearson’s senior team. He was limited to just a seven minute cameo appearance against Middlesbrough in the Championship last season. Although, he did get some valuable minutes during his half-season loan spell with Walsall, and even contributed a goal while operating as a defensive midfielder against Leyton Orient.

Premier League side still firmly in Alex Scott race

The Alex Scott saga continues. Premier League clubs are throwing bids left, right and centre at Bristol City but they keep getting knocked back. However, despite Bournemouth recently having an offer rejected for the midfielder, they are still firmly at the top of the tree reaching for Scott’s signature.

Transfer expert Alex Crook told talkSPORT that the Cherries are “very much still in the race for Alex Scott and maybe would consider themselves frontrunners,” (via Birmingham Live).

They do face firm competition though, as Wolves are ready to return to the Robins with a third bid, having already had offers worth £18 million and £20 million rejected. In the meantime, Scott was included in City’s pre-season friendly match against Swindon Town.
