The confirmed retained lists of Bristol City’s Championship rivals as deadline nears for clubs to submit

Championship clubs need to inform the English Football League of their retained lists by this Saturday

More than half of Championship clubs have the next 76 hours to submit their retained lists to the English Football League ahead of the deadline.

Bristol City fans need not to worry as the club have already submitted theirs with the only major piece of news being that Callum O’Dowda is to leave the Robins after six years.

Contracts were offered to Andy King, centre-back duo Robbie Cundy and Timm Klose, whilst goalkeeper Will Buse has also been given the chance to stay at Ashton Gate Stadium.

A total of 14 teams have either submitted their retained lists or announced some of their players who are leaving the club. Severnside rivals Cardiff City know Marlon Pack is leaving but Aden Flint’s future is undecided.

Teams involved in the play-offs have a few extra days to submit theirs as there would have been an element of uncertainty as to what division they would have been playing in up until this week.

Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town are contesting the play-off final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 28, and neither have said who is leaving them.

Losing semi-finalists Sheffield United have said who is leaving them including David McGoldrick, but there is nothing yet from Luton Town.

Whilst it is a requirement to submit the list to the EFL, who in a few weeks will publish the full lists, it isn’t necessarily a given that the club must publish it on their own feeds, however it is extremely rare.

Below are the retained lists that have been released by teams competing in the 2022/23 Championship season.
