Nigel Pearson's side are hoping to get one over Alex Neil, after suffering a 3-2 defeat to his Sunderland side in August, and then a 2-1 loss to Stoke at Ashton Gate in December.

Injury problems are an issue for the Robins, and they have some players like Joe Williams, Rob Atkinson and Ayman Benarous who will not play a further part this campaign. Tommy Conway made a welcomed return to action, scoring in the 1-1 draw with Reading on Saturday, and we could also see Kal Naismith return since being out with a calf injury picked up in February.

Alex Scott was missing last weekend with a knee ligament injury sustained on international duty, and there is no specific time frame as to when he will return. Czech Republic international Tomas Kalas has been sidelined with a groin problem, and is making positive steps towards a return. Kalas is City's club record signing but with his contract up at the end of the season, he needs to impress Pearson if he wants to remain at the club.

Dwight Gayle sat out of Stoke's 4-0 win over Coventry but Nick Powell came back in to the squad, but didn't find himself on the scoresheet. Gayle missed the goalless draw with Middlesbrough with a calf injury, and Neil made the decision not to include him whereas for Powell, he made his first appearance since mid-February. Matija Sarkic, Emre Tezgel and Nathan Lowe are all in the treatment room and aren't expected to play a part.
