Bristol City have been eyeing a move for Derby County’s Curtis Davies in recent weeks, with the defender’s contract set to expire this summer.
While the Rams’ relegation made a move for Davies appear more likely, it looks like he could new sign a new contract to extend his stay at Pride Park.
Bristol City and Hull were both keen on signing the 37-year-old but could now be forced to look elsewhere.
The Robins are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements ahead of next season after a tricky campaign that saw them concede 77 goals.
