Bristol City entered the second international break of the season with a 1-1 draw against their Severnside Derby rivals Cardiff City.
Ollie Tanner put the Bluebirds in front but an equaliser from Luke McNally gave the Robins a point. Both side's had opportunities to win the match, but the shares were spoiled.
Elsewhere in the Championship, despite Wayne Rooney's late red card, Plymouth Argyle beat Blackburn Rovers. Derby County beat QPR 2-0, and there was a 4-0 victory for Norwich City against Hull City in one of the early kick-offs. The only team not to win a game in the league this season is Portsmouth, who played to a 1-1 draw with Oxford United.
City go in to the break on the back of three straight draws, having drawn with Swansea City by the same scoreline, as well as playing to a goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday in midweek. City from the last international break, picked up one win out of five, and there's a real need to turn these draws in to victories.
When their players are all done with their countries, City resume their season with a trip to Middlesbrough. They will come up against one of their academy graduates in Tommy Conway who they sold for £5m, which helped fund the return of Scott Twine, and other signings. A busy period awaits with six games to come until the November international break.
We’re just a couple of games away from a quarter of the season from being played. Below is a fresh prediction of how the 2024/25 Championship will finish, after the latest round of results.
