Bookies' new predicted Championship table after Bristol City and Blackburn Rovers win, Oxford United and QPR draw

Bristol City were good value for their victory when they beat Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Bristol City ran out comfortable winners when they thrashed Plymouth Argyle 4-0 at Ashton Gate last Saturday.

A stellar second-half performance saw Anis Mehmeti score a brace whilst Scott Twine and Scott Armstrong were also on target. The Robins had 24 shots, and 12 landed on target with the hosts boasting 67% possession of the ball.

"In the second half you could feel the relief when we finally scored the first one,” said first-team manager Liam Manning to BBC Radio Bristol.

"Credit to the lads for sticking at it, staying calm and not panicking. It epitomises the culture we have here, it's all about turning up and putting the work in every single day.

"I'm really pleased for Anis [Mehmeti] - he's so driven and I love how I can be honest and tough on him but he then will go and do his best to make it happen.

"I'm delighted he got his goals, it's great we had everyone chip in today though, we need everyone to turn up and contribute and today was a good example of that."

Oxford United drew with Millwall, whilst QPR got a point against Watford at Vicarage Road. Coventry City couldn't defeat Cardiff City in Frank Lampard's first game but they did come from behind twice to earn a point. West Brom the draw specialists of the division played to a 1-1 draw with Preston North End and bottom side Portsmouth got a point against Swansea City, but squandered a two-goal lead.
