Bristol City hope to finish the latest block of fixtures on a high as they travel to out-of-form Swansea City in their final match before the international period.
The Robins suffered a 1-0 defeat to Luton Town in midweek - and they could only name six substitutes - highlighting the severity of the current injury situation. Carlton Morris scored early on for the Hatters but Nigel Pearson's side conducted themselves well in the second half and were unfortunate to be on the losing side.
A massive boost is that Alex Scott has avoided a two-match ban for the remainder of the campaign with the cut off of 10 yellow cards now passed. Joe Williams faced a similar ban, but a hamstring injury has ended his campaign, rather than a suspension.
Pearson did suggest that at least one of his players could return for their trip to South Wales, with Matty James, Kal Naismith and Tommy Conway all pushing for a return. James has been missing for the last two games through an ankle injury, whilst Conway and Naismith have missed more than a month of action because of hamstring tendon and calf injuries.
It was touch-and-go for James against Blackpool and he wasn't risked, so it would like be the former Leicester City man to return, allowing for Conway and Naismith to have more time to recover from middle-term injuries. Defence and midfield is an are of concern, but a win against the Tangerines showed that City could win despite adversity.
