Nigel Pearson has made one change to the Bristol City side that drew 1-1 with Swansea City for their Championship match with Sheffield United at Ashton Gate this evening.

Andi Weimann, who was absent from the match-day squad on Saturday comes straight back into the starting XI after two matches as a substitute. The Austrian has suffered a dip in form but has been exposed to a lot of football for both club and country, he is given the captain's armband for the evening. Antoine Semenyo drops to the bench after going without a goal since the defeat to Norwich City in mid-September.

It's the same make-shift back line that got a point against Swansea with Zak Vyner in the centre of the back three with George Tanner on the right-hand side of him and Cameron Pring on the left. Jay Dasilva and Mark Sykes are the two wingers with the former ever present in the league.

In midfield, Alex Scott has overcome his bout of illness to hold down a starting spot and starts along with Matty James, with Weimann either providing cover in the role or alternating with Tommy Conway.Tommy Conway and Nahki Wells are tipped to lead the line.

The flu situation has cleared up with several of the Under-21's players returning to Ali Hines' squad for their 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic. Summer signing Stefan Bajic was in between the sticks and is still waiting for a place in a senior match-day squad with Max O'Leary and Daniel Bentley preferred.

Raphael Araoye and Jamie Knight-Lebel trained with the seniors last week but played against the Addicks. Dylan Kadji, who made his senior debut in August and has several Championship substitute appearances also played. Han-Noah Massengo, out of contract in the summer and seemingly set for a departure also played, with no double duty for the Frenchman this evening.
