Nigel Pearson has made eight changes to his Bristol City side to face Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday, including a debut for Stefan Bajic and a first start for young defender Joe Low.

Bajic, brought in in the summer, has had to be patient for his senior debut. He suffered a wrist injury soon after joining the Robins and has been playing for the under-21 side recently.

Low made his senior debut when he came on as a substitute in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough, and will get his first taste of action at Ashton Gate against the Imps.

Low and Rob Atkinson come in for Zak Vyner and Cameron Pring on the night, as Timm Klose retains his place in the middle of the back three.

Mark Sykes and Jay Dasilva come back into the side in the wing-back roles after they were named on the bench in North Yorkshire.

In a completely new look midfield, veteran Andy King and teenager Dylan Kadji are introduced to the middle of the park.

Andi Weimann retains his place from the weekend but moves into his usual role just behind the strikers. Likewise, Antoine Semenyo is moved into his preferred position up top alongside Chris Martin, who has struggled for game time this season.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Elijah Morrison is named on the substitutes bench for the third-round tie.

Bristol City (3-5-2):

Bajic, Low, Klose, Atkinson, Sykes, King, Kadji, Dasilva, Weimann, Semenyo, Martin.
