Two of Bristol City's Championship rivals are reportedly considering making managerial changes.

Bristol City and Liam Manning are enjoying their working relationship right now as they make a push to break in to the Championship’s top six.

The Robins find themselves just outside of the play-offs after defeating Norwich City and ending their 21-game unbeaten run at home. City are currently 10th but just three points off of Watford and when things kick off against Burnley, there will be a feeling of confident in the air, as they have a decent home record at Ashton Gate.

Manning was appointed as City boss on a three-and-half-year contract until June 2027 on November 7, 2023. He’s spent over a year in the job, and guided the club to an 11th-placed finish last term.

Giving a manager time is so important as if you can get through a rough patch and not find yourself in an untenable position, then they can turn things around and deliver some success. Manning is one of only nine managers that have been in their job for over a year.

Coventry City sacked Mark Robins last week, and he was the EFL’s third longest serving manager having been in charge for almost eight years. Two more clubs are considering making managerial changes, whilst Cardiff City are still yet to make a decision, having sacked Erol Bulut at the end of September.

QPR find themselves bottom of the league, but in September, Spaniard Marti Cifuentes was given a new long-term deal, though the length wasn’t disclosed. The French media is now reporting that Gregory Vignal is of interest to the West London outfit.

Hull City meanwhile just missed out on the play-offs last season, but decided to part ways with Liam Rosenior. They appointed Tim Walter, but according to TEAMtalk, the Tigers hierarchy are discussing the future of Walter, and a decision should be made this week.
