Bristol City are on the road this weekend as they play Sheffield United on the later day of Sunday at Bramall Lane in the EFL Championship.

The game has been moved to Sunday as United’s City rivals Sheffield Wednesday are playing Wycombe Wanderers at Hillsborough the day before.

Bristol’s opponents have changed their manager ahead of the match with Paul Heckingbottom replacing Slaviša Jokanović.

The Blades are 16th this season, with the same number of wins, losses and draws as City, but ahead on the virtue of goal difference.

These two teams met in the fifth round of the FA Cup last season with Billy Sharp scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win for the hosts, on-loan defender Alfie Mawson was sent off for City.

What’s the latest team news for Bristol City?

One change which is guaranteed from a City perspective is an enforced one after Joe WIlliams injured his hamstring. Williams after a torrid time with injuries was enjoying a spell back in the side but will now have to overcome another setback. Sunday’s game is a write off but he will be closely monitored.

He could be replaced by Matty James, who has missed the last three matches with a foot injury.

Another option could be Han-Noah Massengo, who since the international break, has had to settle for being a substitute.

Nathan Baker was substituted for the returning Rob Atkinson on Tuesday but came through unscathed.

Andy King and George Tanne are both out until December with a hamstring injury.

On Tuesday, John Fleck collapsed whilst playing for the Blades and as a precaution, will be monitored, meaning he is not playing in this match. Club record signing Sander Berge or on-loan Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane will replace him. Berge however hasn’t played since September so he may be a straight starter.

Wes Foderingham deputised for Robin Olsen in between the sticks for the Blades, after the latter picked up a muscle injury whilst on international duty. Oli McBurnie meanwhile had to isolate after being a ‘close contact’ to someone who had contracted COVID-19.

Wales international Rhys Norrington-Davies has resumed first-team training and could at least find his way on to the bench.

The men that City will need to keep out for are United’s joint top-scorers Morgan Gibbs-white and striker Billy Sharp. Captain Sharp has four goals this season  and ranks highest in the squad for goals created with six assists to his name. Gibbs-White meanwhile is on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, has four goals and has assisted on two occasions.

Yes. LiveFootballOnTV says that the game is available on the Sky Sports Red Button. You’ll be able to watch this if you’re a Sky Sports subscriber.

If you have a Sky account, access it and then go on onto the Sheffield United vs Bristol City page and you can also watch it on your phone.

You can also watch the match on Robins TV, by paying just £10 to the club, who will provide their own stream.

How can I watch highlights?

As the game isn’t being played on Saturday, there are no reasons to tune in to EFL on Quest on Saturday given their team isn’t playing. You may want to keep up to date with the rest of the Championship or may even look at the team from across the city and how they’re doing in League Two.

The way you can take in highlights is watching them on RobinsTV later on in the day, as well as the YouTube channels of both clubs.
