2023/24 Championship: How far Bristol City, Sunderland, Leeds Utd and more will have to travel

Supporters in the Championship will be racking up the miles to support their team next season - with some having it easier than others.

Bristol City fans are already excited for next season, and are relishing the prospect of a potential promotion push next season.

Nigel Pearson enters the final year of his three-year deal, and this could be the best one yet under the former Leicester City boss, who will come up against the Foxes next year. Money has been made available to the 59-year-old, and with an exciting crop of talent coming through from the academy and graduating in to the first-team, there are reasons to be optimistic if you're a Robins fan.

City boasted brilliant home support last season, and were in the top 10, and so far nearly 15,000 season tickets have been sold for the upcoming campaign. As for their away support, it was considerably lower down, but you do have to consider that travelling from the West Country is quite the task, and there is a considerable amount of Northern teams in the division, and that has been added to with the promotion of Sheffield Wednesday, and the relegation of Leeds United.

We've already done an article on how far every Championship ground is from Ashton Gate this season, and you can read that here. Unsurprisingly the Severnside Derby against Cardiff City is the closest match, whilst there are long trips to Sunderland and Middlesbrough to look forward to again next season.

Below is every Championship team, and the miles they'll be racking up over the course of the season, and how much travelling they'll do. All information comes from Twitter page EFL Stats, and are based on land travel.
