Full breakdown of Bristol City’s goals and assists for each player for the 2021/22 season

Bristol City last week called time on their 2021/22 season, bringing to an end another year of Championship consolidation.

A 2-0 away defeat to Premier League hopefuls Huddersfield Town ended what was a transitional campaign.

Despite the defeat, the Robins got an improvement on their 19th placed finish the previous year by finishing two places higher.

There were many ifs and buts over the course of the campaign, more specifically on the team’s failure to hold onto a lead.

Had City been able to hold out for wins when going in front, they would have finished inside the top half of the table.

Inconsistency was a major issue too as the team were only able to claim back-to-back wins towards the end of the campaign in what can be regarded as a strong finish.

There were a few positives however and there is something to build on to look forward to for when it all begins in July.

Many match day squads included academy graduates, including Antoine Semenyo who despite missing the first part of the season, made a telling impact.

Most of the plaudits deservedly went to Andi Weimann, who made a full recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury to become one of the Championship’s best attackers.

Semenyo, Weimann along with Chris Martin who hit double figures once again, was heralded as one of the best attacks in the division by Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney.
