Here are nine free agents that Bristol City could look at after the transfer window shut.
The Robins have mostly been in impressive form this season and currently sit seventh in the Championship - with a trip to Burnley on the cards this afternoon.
Nigel Pearson’s enjoyed a particularly strong summer transfer window which has helped improve their performances - with the likes of Kal Naismith and Mark Sykes arriving at Ashton Gate.
However, City only brought in four new arrivals before the deadline but could still have an opportunity to strengthen their team before the window opens again in January.
There is currently a number of talented free agents who have failed to find a new club this summer, with all available to join a new team outside of the transfer window.
Here are nine stars that Bristol City could sign on free transfers...
1. Neil Taylor
Neil Taylor is a solid Championship player and has enjoyed great success in the second tier during his career. The Welshman made 14 appearances for Middlesbrough last season and previously won the play-offs with Aston Villa.
2. Danny Rose
Danny Rose was released by Watford after failing to make an appearance for them since December. While he may lack match fitness, the defender is still only 32 and could be a good squad player.
3. Danny Drinkwater
Danny Drinkwater has struggled since his failed move to Chelsea, however was a regular for Reading in the Championship last season. The 32-year-old was close to signing for Blackpool in the summer but remains a free agent.
4. Sol Bamba
Sol Bamba made 24 appearances for Middlesbrough last season but was released by the Championship club this summer. The defender was already reported to be training with Bristol City and could be a solid signing for them.
