Emmanuel-Thomas was a Bristol City player from 2013 to 2015 and got 33 goals and 20 assists for the

Robins. He was a key part of the team winning the League One title and the EFL Trophy, and also netted a goal in the last Bristol Derby back in September 2013.

The former Arsenal and Cardiff City attacker is now a free agent and whilst he searches for a new club, could have some spare time on his hands. He was last playing in India for Jamshedpur but has two reasons to come back to Bristol, and that is to visit the fans that adored him and meet a former teammate of his.

He said in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon: "Im going to make a visit to @BristolCity soon to see you all & check up on my bro @RossMcCrorie4."

Emmanuel-Thomas and McCrorie played together in the Scottish Premiership at Aberdeen. McCrorie has yet to make his competitive debut for the club and is expected to be out until after Christmas with plans of surgery for an injury he has been contending with.

The ex-Pompey utility man however could have a visit from Emmanuel-Thomas when he’s available though, and was happy that he could be visited.

In response to Emmanuel-Thomas’ tweet, McCrorie said: “My bro,” whilst @bcfc_oc said: “JET come to a home game and join us in the standing section I’m sure @Section_82 can get a display sorted for the game.

Another City supporter Victoria Freeman meanwhile said: “JET the awesome penalty taker, I have always loved watching your unique way of taking penalties.”
