Championship Team of the week features Bristol City, QPR, Cardiff City and Hull stars

The Championship team of the week for the midweek fixtures on March 5 and March 6 has been revealed.

Bristol City have representation in the Championship team of the week despite their defeat to Ipswich Town on Tuesday night.

The Robins fell to a 3-2 defeat at Portman Road, despite having led twice. Anis Mehmeti and Tommy Conway's goals were cancelled out by Ali Al-Hamadi and Conor Chaplin before a minute from time Leif Davies secured victory for the Tractor Boys.

City fell to their fourth consecutive defeat but gave a good account of themselves against a side that hold one of the automatic promotion places. Liam Manning's side are now 13 points off of the play-offs and six points off of the relegation zone with 10 games remaining in their season.

Elsewhere in the division, basement side Rotherham United suffered a 5-0 defeat to Coventry City with Ellis Simms scoring his second hat-trick of his career. Leeds United claimed a narrow win over Stoke City whilst Sheffield Wednesday continued their upturn in form by beating Plymouth Argyle. League leaders Leicester City defeated Sunderland, whilst there were draws between Blackburn Rovers and Millwall as well as Hull City and Birmingham City.

Wednesday night saw former Bristol City striker Famara Diedhiou score his first goal for Cardiff City as he netted the only goal of the game against Huddersfield Town. Middlesbrough won 3-1 against play-off chasing Norwich City, whilst Watford bounced back from a calamitous own goal to draw with Swansea City.

QPR and West Brom was the televised fixture and they played to a 2-2 draw at Loftus Road, with the match surrounded by controversy after an apparent handball by Cedric Kipre was missed by the officials. Southampton and Preston North End was postponed due to a fire near St Mary's Stadium.

Individual performances from midweek have been recognised and the official Championship team of the week has been revealed. The performance scores based off of WhoScored have put together a team in a 4-4-2 formation which consists of two players each from Leeds United and Coventry City then a player each from Cardiff, Bristol City, West Brom, Hull, QPR and Ipswich Town.
