Hull City close to defender deal

Hull City finished a point behind Bristol City in the table and are close to securing a new contract for Bristol-born defender Alfie Jones. The former Southampton man has played for the East Yorkshire outfit since 2019. Liam Rosenior has told BBC Radio Humberside: “We’re close, very, very close (to a new deal) which is great for me as a manager. I think we can build around him. It’s great for the club and it’s great for Alfie. This is the right club for him to improve himself and I think he’s got the potential to play in the Premier League.”

Striker attracting interest

Championship trio Huddersfield Town, Millwall and Birmingham City are all reportedly keen on Cheltenham Town striker Alfie May, according to the Express. Wrexham, Gillingham, Peterborough United and Derby County have all also been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old ahead of the next transfer window. He has scored 26 goals in all competitions this season.

Sheffield United attacker eyed

Tottenham Hotspur have sent scouts to watch Sheffield United attacker Iliman Ndiaye in action, as detailed in a report by the Daily Mail. He has been in fine form the Blades over recent times and has helped the Yorkshire outfit gain promotion to the Premier League in 2nd place behind Burnley. The Senegal international has found the net 15 times for Paul Heckingbottom’s side in this campaign.
