Bristol City, Plymouth Argyle, Middlesbrough and rivals' position in Championship discipline table

All 24 Championship teams ranked on how many yellow and red cards they’ve picked up so far.

Bristol City are preparing for a return to EFL Championship action when they host Burnley at Ashton Gate on Saturday, November 23.

The Robins are on a high after defeating Norwich City at Carrow Road before the international break. Unfortunately though they've been hit with the news however that Joe Williams will be out of action for several months. The 27-year-old has partially torn his Achilles after coming off against the Canaries.

Ross McCrorie is still out of action but there could soon be returns for Scott Twine, Kal Naismith, Sam Bell, and Rob Atkinson. Atkinson has been out since February 2023 after suffering an ACL injury.

If City are to be in the play-off mix then they’ll need to navigate through this busy period. Christmas often tends to see a lot of games scheduled over a short space of time and so having everyone fit and available is key.

Discipline is very important, however this season City have lost Mark Sykes to suspension after he accumulated five yellow cards. There’s still a chance for other players to get a suspension, as they have up until the 19th game of the campaign to avoid picking up five yellows which results in a one game ban.

Using data from Transfermarkt, we’ve listed each Championship club and ranked them based on their bookings so far this campaign. Take a look below to see City rank compared to the likes of Middlesbrough, Plymouth Argyle, and the rest of the league.
