The 24 clubs who make up the EFL Championship each year usually have different budgets when it comes to spending money on player transfers.
Those clubs who have recently competed in the Premier League, or even the ones going all out to get there, tend to dig deep into their pockets when it comes to bringing in new talent.
Meanwhile, clubs at the opposite end of the table have more modest budgets and aren’t in a position to make multiple big money signings year on year.

The likes of Fulham, Bournemouth and Sheffield United have all sunk record fees into individuals over the past few years while other teams haven’t done so for quite some time.
