Bristol City's average away attendance compared to Cardiff City, Plymouth, Swansea and Championship rivals

Bristol City's support on the road over the course of the 2023/24 Championship season has been revealed.

Bristol City's season ended just over a week ago with a heavy 4-0 defeat to Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

The Robins suffered a disappointing end to the campaign with not many predicting that the Potters would win by such a margin. Despite the heavy loss, they secured an 11th-placed finish, finishing ahead of their Severnside rivals Cardiff City on goal difference.

Bristol City have since announced their retained list with Andi Weimann, Andy King and Matty James departing. It was confirmed pre-Stoke that King would be retiring whilst Weimann is currently involved in a play-off battle with West Brom. As for Matty James, he captained the club for a large part of the campaign and so a new club captain will need to be named.

In the stands, the 72 have been publishing the away followings over the course of the season. A total of 1,875 supporters witnessed that defeat to Stoke, but that helped towards their average. The numbers have been crunched and it has been revealed that Bristol City had an average of 1,408 over the 23 away matches that they played.
