Cardiff City youngster in Premier League move

Cardiff City prospect Lewys Benjamin is poised to join current English champions Manchester City, according to reporter Fabrizio Romano on Twitter (see tweet below). The young goalkeeper is a Wales U17 international and is being tipped for a bright future in the game. He has now been lured away from the Football League by the bright lights of the Premier League.

Blackburn Rovers to launch appeal

Blackburn Rovers are set to launch an appeal after the EFL rejected their applications to seal deadline days for Nottingham Forest‘s Lewis O’Brien and Rochdale’s Ethan Brierley, as per a report by the Daily Mail. The Lancashire side are believed to have not sorted out the transfers in time before the deadline. O’Brien has been left out of Steve Cooper’s 25-man squad for the rest of the season and is in limbo now.

Wigan Athletic winger departs

Wigan Athletic winger Gwion Edwards has joined Ross County on loan until the end of the campaign. The Welshman has struggled for game time this term and has been given the green light to head up to Scotland. His deal at the DW Stadium expires in June.
