A series of images of Bristol City fans through the years - celebrating the good times at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City fans supported the club in their numbers this season - and boasted a top-half finish when it came to home attendances. Their away support was below that, but being where they are geographically, supporting the club up and down the country is a difficult task, especially when there's long midweek trips like Sheffield United and Huddersfield Town away.

The Robins have a good few trips to make next season, including long journeys to Middlesbrough and Sunderland, as well as a short trip to their Severnside rivals Cardiff City and Swansea City. You won't be surprised that City don't have it easy, and that there are a few Midlands clubs who are best positioned to support their team.

Here, we've looked at the image archive, and picked out some photos of fans at some big games. They include the Championship play-off final against Hull City, as well as happier times such as the play-of win over Crystal Palace, as well as the EFL Trophy win against Walsall. There have been some big games at Ashton Gate, and they include the brilliant celebrations from when City beat Manchester United in the Carabao Cup. The stadium's gone through a big change since its development, and some of these pictures you'll find it hard to picture what the ground used to be like.

It's only a fortnight till we find out the release of the 2023/24 Championship fixtures, so in the mean time see if you can spot yourself in this fan gallery.
