Bristol City hope to end their run of back to back defeats, as Lee Bowyer’s side make the trip to the West Country, boasting just one win in their last eight.
Both sides suffered 2-0 defeats last weekend, and 2-1 defeats in the week prior, so both Nigel Pearson and Lee Bowyer will be desperate to get points on the board.

A total of three places and three points separate the two teams in the table with City in 17th on 40 points and Birmingham in 20th on 37.
A win for Bristol City could see them go as high as 16th, whilst City could drop to as low as 20th should Birmingham win and other teams claim positive results.

Nigel Pearson has confirmed he is still ‘not overly sure’ when right-back George Tanner will return to fitness. The defender hasn’t featured for the Robins since the turn of the year but has resumed training.
Rob Atkinson has ‘looked good in training’ and could be back in the squad for the game this weekend for the first time since going off in the Severnside Derby in January.
Max O’Leary, who has missed the last three games due to an injury suffered against Swansea City is back in to consideration.

What is the latest team news for Birmingham City?
Blues will be without captain Troy Deeney, as well as George Friend and Man United loanee Teden Mengi.
Last weekend, Lee Bowyer was forced into playing a very makeshift backline. An injury to defender Maxime Colin forced ex Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner to fill in at centre back for a large part of the game.

He played out the rest of the game in a defence already consisting of wingers Jeremie Bela and Jordan Graham.
On-loan striker Lyle Tylor will be assessed ahead of the match. He scored a stoppage-time brace for Nottingham Forest at the Gate in the earlier part of the season, so the home fans will be all too aware of the threat he poses.
Scott Hogan is also being looked at with his status as touch-and-go, so there may be an unsettled front line for the Midlands outfit.

Bristol City have just one win in their previous six meetings with Birmingham. Blues boast a 50% win record over the Robins, beating them 35 times as opposed to City’s 18 wins.
Birmingham have been poor away from home this season, with their last win on the road coming at Middlesborough way back in October. In fact, only City themselves, as well as Peterborough, Derby and Barnsley have had a worse run of away form this season.
City’s impressive home record of late won’t make easy reading for the Blues, as they have picked up four wins from their last five at Ashton Gate.
