Bristol City look to claim back to back wins for the first time under Nigel Pearson as they welcome Coventry City to Ashton Gate in the EFL Championship.

A total of six places separate the two sides with Coventry ahead of City by seven points, as well as holding two games in hand. Should City win then they could move as high as 15th should Blackpool lose.
What is the kick-off time?
The match is due to start at 19:45 GMT on Tuesday evening.
What’s the latest team news for Bristol City?
Despite putting in a solid shift in which he claimed the most passes, accurate passes, touches, interceptions and successful tackles, there may not be a place for Joe Williams in the side.
In his post-match press conference, Pearson said: “It’s good to have him back but you might not see him again on Tuesday night just because we have to make sure he’s going to be available for the rest of the season. It’s our job to manage that.”

Williams was replaced with ten minutes remaining in the match by Robbie Cundy and the 24-year-old could be in line for his first Championship start should Williams miss out.
Sam Bell, son of City legend Micky, was converted into a wing-back against Middlesbrough and could be deployed there once more, though he was replaced by Cameron Pring so the two could be battling for a place in the side.
Tuesday’s match may be too soon for Max O’Leary to return so expect Daniel Bentley to stay between the sticks with youngster Harvey Wiles-Richards acting as back up.

What’s the latest team news for Coventry City?
There were a number of injuries for Coventry to contend with on Saturday with Viktor Gyokeres having to be patched up after cutting his head open but he should be available.
Kyle McFadzean meanwhile fell heavily on his right hand and also cut his knee but is another who will battle through the pain barrier.
Midfielder Jodi Jones was also absent at a time where they are short of attacking options, given the absence of Matty Godden. Coventry are expected to welcome back Godden sooner than expected but he isn’t expected to play a part on Tuesday.

Form guide and head-to-head
There have been 69 meetings between City and Coventry with the latter edging it by one victory with Coventry winning 24 times to City’s 23, whilst there have also been 22 draws, highlighting the competitiveness between the two teams.
Coventry won the reverse fixture back in November, despite falling behind to a Chris Martin penalty and going down a man after Ian Maatsen was sent off. Matt Godden equalised but Andreas Weimann restored City’s lead but Callum O’Hare levelled proceedings before Godden scored a stoppage-time winner.

Hide AdCity have lost their last two league meetings against Coventry, they last lost three in a row to the Midlands side back in October 1963. There is also a Tuesday hoodoo for City who have lost their last three Championship matches on this day.
One thing that could bode in the home side’s favour is that he has never lost a home meeting against Coventry in his managerial career, drawing three times and winning one match.
Referee
The referee will be Dean Whitestone who has overseen City’s defeats to Millwall and Huddersfield Town this season.
