Bristol City’s well oiled 2014/15 League One title-winning team - Where are they now?

It’s seven years to the day that Bristol City secured their place back in the Sky Bet Championship after beating Bradford City 6-0 at Valley Parade.

It was a night to remember in Yorkshire as the Robins turned on the style, scoring six past the promotion hopefuls. James Tavernier opened the scoring and later added another, whilst Joe Bryan, Luke Ayling, Aden Flint and top scorer Aaron Wilbraham were all on target.

They would eventually go on to win the league title four days later, becoming just the second side to win the third-tier title and Football League trophy in the same year. It was the first league title that had been won with the Ashton Gate club since the early 1950s, with Keith Dawe claiming the win would live long in the memory.

And since City’s elevation, they have remained a Championship team, pushing close to the play-offs under Lee Johnson, who succeeded Cotterill in January 2016, which was just nine months after Cotterill had delivered the double success.

A lot of the players stayed put and reinvigorated themselves under a new manager whilst others sought pastures new, either with league rivals or hoped for similar success as they dropped down a division, whilst others even joined bitterest rivals Bristol Rovers.

Fast forward to the modern day and a few of the title winners have called time on their careers and have moved into coaching, whilst another is now plying his trade in sunny Los Angeles with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.
