Bristol City’s £127.5m fantasy football squad value - as Celtic, Leeds, Spurs & West Ham targets valued highly

Bristol City and fans of other Championship clubs can now play Fantasy Football thanks to Gaffr, who are running it for a second consecutive year.

Fantasy football has sometimes only been a thing associated with the Premier League, but now fans of Championship clubs can take part as they test their knowledge.

In what will be its second season, Gaffr has created a Championship version of fantasy football with similar rules.

An in-game virtual budget of £100m has been given to allow fans of clubs like Bristol City, Sheffield United and Sunderland the chance to get involved.

Things like clean sheets, goals and assists will all be tracked throughout the 2021/22 campaign with gameweek updates.

Of course valuations differ in fantasy football and some players would exceed what is placed on them but to assemble a team of the Championship’s best, those who govern the game have made up what they believe is the fairest valuations.

We’ve taken a look at the value of each player in the Bristol City squad, and this is how the Robins team’s worth stacks up with some players obviously ranking higher than others.

City have already added Mark Sykes, Kal Naismith and Kane Wilson to their ranks this summer in the transfer window and they can be happy given how they fared last season.

Antoine Semenyo and Alex Scott, who have attracted interest from Celtic, Leeds, Spurs and West Ham United respectively, are also amongst the big hitters.

There is also Andreas Weimann, who enjoyed a career best season last year. Can he emulate what he did from the season just gone? It remains to be seen but Gaffr believes so.

A few players are missing such as youngster Duncan Idehen, as well as Sam Bell and Tommy Conway, but should they stay put before City’s opener against Hull, expect them to be added.

Let us know what you think of the valuations and which three players have to be on your side.
