Bristol City and Queens Park Rangers resume their Championship campaigns as the two meet at Ashton Gate.

The Robins host the Hoops in what is their first home match in a month, following the postponement of Preston, as well as the international break.

City are three places lower and a point behind QPR, who are under the management of Michael Beale.

Here is how we think City might line up against the men from West London, which promises to be another entertaining clash.

Goalkeeper

Stefan Bajic is in contention to be a part of the first-team after making several appearances for the Under-21’s.

Club-captain Bentley remains the first choice but will welcome the challenge of a new competitor

Defence

There is nothing of note to show that City will move away from the three-man back line that Nigel Pearson has committed for most of his tenure.

Kal Naismith, who spoke candidly this week with BBC Radio Bristol, analysed his own performance so far and knows where he wanted to mprove. He’s a shoo-in to start in the centre of a back three with Rob Atkinson on the left of him and Zak Vyner on the right.

Timm Klose’s supposed absence as reported by BristolLive, means that a a young defender could be considered on the bench.

George Tanner has began the transition of becoming a right-sided centre-back, which would add another body to the back line.

City’s defence has conceded the second most goals in the Championship this season and it is an area of the pitch that they will want to improve in.

Midfield

As well as Klose’s absence, BristolLive say that Matty James will also miss out on this match.

He started against Burnley and there are a few contenders as to who could replace him in the centre of park.

Han-Noah Massengo’s performances have improved and despite contract talks remaining at a stalemate, he is still committed to delivering the best performances for City.

Joe Williams is another option and would be the more defensive minded option against a side that packs their midfield in a 4-3-3.

Williams could get the nod to add some solidity to the midfield and if the game is evenly poised, Massengo could come on to add the flair to hange the match.

Alex Scott as always is one of the first names on the team sheet and for England, he was played as a midfielder as opposed to wing-back.

Operating as both defence and midfield, Jay Dasilva and Mark Sykes look likely to continue in their roles as wing-backs.

Dasilva has been unchallenged so far whilst Sykes has held down the position which at initial thought was tailor made for Kane Wilson.

Andi Weimann had been a fitness doubt heading in to the match but has overcome that worry. He should continue in that supporting role that he provides to the striker as that is where he got his success.

Forwards

Antoine Semenyo made two appearances on international duty for Ghana, both as a substitute. He is yet to start for City this season and this could be another match that he awaits his opportunity.

He holds one of the best goals-per-minutes ratio as a result of his ability to score when coming off the bench.

Nahki Wells and Tommy Conway are the men in form and both netted in the defeats at Norwich City and Burnley. Their form is enough to continue as starters and it is a welcome problem to have that you have Chris Martin and Semenyo waiting on the sidelines.

Bristol City (3-5-2): Daniel Bentley, Zak Vyner, Kal Naismith, Rob Atkinson; Jay Dasilva, Joe Williams, Alex Scott, Andi Weimann; Tommy Conway, Nahki Wells.
