Rising star Alex Scott remains available on the market as the Robins are yet to receive their £25 million asking price from any interested parties, as revealed by Football League World. The 19-year-old has attracted a lot of attention from multiple clubs, including Bournemouth, Liverpool, West Ham United and Wolves, but none have met Bristol’s valuation.

However, the current situation has left City hopeful that it could pave the way for a bid from one of the newly-promoted Premier League sides, now that the transfer window is officially open.

Haydon Roberts joins

Bristol City have finalised the signing of Haydon Roberts, who joins on a free transfer from Brighton & Hove Albion. He is the third arrival of the summer following the arrivals of Rob Dickie and Ross McCrorie.

“I’m really excited,” said Roberts. “It’s a big moment in my career to come to a club like Bristol City, to kick on and progress both individually and with the club.

“I want to be a winner and win with Bristol City and to help the club get to the heights they want to - I can’t wait for the challenge ahead.”

Norwich to finalise six-figure transfer

Norwich City are set to finalise a six-figure deal for Gabriel Forsyth from Hamilton Academical this summer, according to Football Insider. The Canaries have been in talks with the 16-year-old for several weeks now and an agreement is close to getting across the line.

While he is still at such a young age, Norwich’s plan is to bring him in as a prospect but hope that he will quickly develop into a first team option.

Southampton receiving lots of interest in Ward-Prowse

Following their relegation, Southampton are receiving a lot of queries over the cost of James Ward-Prowse this summer. West Ham United are one the latest to express their interest in the midfielder, also according to Football League World.

It’s no secret that the Premier League side are cashing in on Declan Rice, and they could use the fee to bid for Ward-Prowse. The Saints are reportedly looking for £40 million for the midfielder, as a number of other clubs are also showing interest in his services. Receiving a sizeable amount for the Englishman will be a huge boost for Southampton to recruit new personnel ahead of their season in the Championship.
