It’s a big weekend for clubs across the division especially with the January transfer window fast approaching. Here are some of the biggest headlines involving clubs from across English football’s second tier on Friday, November 11:

Per the Scottish Daily Express, Stoke City want to sign Hibs and Scotland defender Ryan Porteous in the January transfer window. The 23-year old has been watched by the Potters in recent weeks and is out of contract at the end of the season. Porteous, who has spent his entire senior career at the Edinburgh side, earned his first Scotland cap earlier this year in their crucial UEFA Nations League tie against Ukraine where he put in an impressive display to help Steve Clarke’s side earn a 0-0 draw.
Spurs and Man Utd linked with Norwich City star
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are both considering a January move for Norwich City’s Max Aarons, according to 90min and The 72. Former Middlesbrough star Djed Spence is expected to be loaned out by Spurs who are said to be looking to add another right back as a priority. Aarons, who is currently said to be valued at £15 million buy the Canaries, is reportedly being ‘monitored’ by the London club while previous reports have also linked the Red Devils.
