The battle for promotion and fight against relegation is heating up in the second tier

Bristol City find themselves down in 17th place in the Championship table and another mid-table season beckons. Despite this, the Robins continue to be backed in large numbers at their impressive Ashton Gate home every other Saturday. 

Nigel Pearson’s side will be hoping to hit some form between now and the end of the campaign to try and climb up the league and potentially close the gap on the play-offs. Although this seems a tall order at this stage, there still isn’t a lot to split 3rd place in the division down to around their position. 

Burnley and Sheffield United are miles ahead but the top six is up for grabs for anyone. Here is a look at how Bristol City’s average home attendance this term compares to their league rivals....
