Bristol City will go in search of a first Championship win of 2024 when they host promotion-chasing Leeds United at Ashton Gate on Friday night.
The Robins battled back from a goal down to draw 2-2 away at Coventry City in midweek and will be confident that they can earn a positive result against the Whites.
Liam Manning’s side will also take confidence from their FA Cup displays of late.
A home victory against West Ham, followed by a deserved draw against Nottingham Forest has boosted hopes of a big cup run for the Robins.
While City’s defence has been consistent of late, their forward line has been struggling since the turn of the year.
Before Tuesday’s draw, Manning’s side has netted just three times in seven matches.
But the addition of Burnley man Scott Twine has boosted City’s creative spark, and the Robins will be hoping that the talent can guide the team to big things this season.
However, Twine, among several other City players, will be absent for the clash against Leeds, who will also believe that they can get a positive result at BS3.
Daniel Farke’s side have won their last four league matches and sit in fourth place in the table – just two points off Ipswich Town in second.
Joel Piroe, Crysencio Summerville and Daniel James have all netted 10 or more this season and will provide Leeds’ threat, however, they will have to make do without the latter who has been ruled out of the match.
The first match between these two ended in a narrow 2-1 win for the Whites, and City will be hoping for a more positive result on Friday night.
