Bristol City predicted XI v Leeds United: Two key changes likely for Championship clash

The Robins host Leeds in the Championship

Bristol City will be eager to record a first Championship victory of 2024 when they host Leeds United at Ashton Gate on Friday night.

The Robins have lost against Millwall and Preston North End and have drawn with Watford and Coventry City since January 1, and will want to transfer their impressive FA Cup form into league action.

Liam Manning’s side knocked Premier League outfit West Ham out of the competition in the last round and have now taken Nottingham Forest to a replay after a well-earned draw.

Tuesday night’s draw against Coventry saw the Robins’ frontline back amongst the goals as Nahki Wells netted his first since September, and Manning will be hoping that conviction continues from his frontmen, which has been missing in recent weeks.

Before their midweek draw, City has scored just three times in seven matches, and the addition of Scott Twine will no doubt aid that problem in the coming weeks. Twine, though, will be unavailable to face the Whites with a quad injury.

Leeds will pose a tough test for the Robins and go into the match on a four-game winning streak in the league.

Their stellar form has boosted them up to second place in the table, and they could book a place in the automatic promotion places with three points at Ashton Gate.

Leeds will be without Daniel James who was scored 10 times for them this term but will still have the threat if Joel Piroe and Crysencio Summerville up top.

The Whites edged past City 2-1 in the first match between the sides this season, and the Robins will want a more positive result on Friday.

Here’s how I think the Robins will set up…
