Bristol City v Coventry City injury news as 11 out and two doubts

Nigel Pearson has revealed that Jason Knight and Kal Naismith are both doubts.
Knight came down with illness that kept him out of training on Thursday. He returned back from international duty fine but came down with illness a day after returning.

Hide AdHowever, Naismith did train on Thursday however he complained of a calf problem. It is likely to be a touch-and-go decision for Pearson to make, however with a double-game week next week he could be afforded time to recover.
Fellow centre-back Zak Vyner has been out since mid-September. He suffered a knee injury against
Plymouth Argyle and there were fears that it was serious however he will undergo a scan in the next fortnight to paint a full picture.
Right-back George Tanner remains sidelined after an injury against Stoke City. He hasn’t played for the last two matches, and despite the international break offering a change to rest, he has not recovered in time.

Hide AdAn enforced change from the defeat to Leeds United will be up top. Nahki Wells suffered an ankle injury at Elland Road and was forced off. He could face Ipswich Town next week however that is yet undecided.
Ayman Benarous and Rob Atkinson meanwhile are recovering from respective ACL injuries. Benarous has recovered, but suffered a knock last month. Summer signing Ross McCrorie underwent surgery and is ruled out until the New Year.
Coventry City team news
The Sky Blues are down to the bare bones after suffering another injury blow in midfield. Ben Sheaf had missed the last six games and hoped to return this weekend but broke down in training. He had an adductor strain injury to contend with and is now back in the treatment room.
Club captain Liam Kelly is out after a hamstring tear which has prompted a tactical reshuffle from Mark Robins. Summer signing Milan van Ewijk meanwhile is out after a signifiant tear in his quad.

Hide AdFormer Robins midfielder Kasey Palmer has been denied a return against his former club. He has the same injury as Sheaf, and it was said he was ‘going to be a while’ before he returns.
Coventry do have some good news and that is Callum O’Hare is continuing to make strides in his recovery from an ACL injury. He played in an inter-squad training match, but no specific date has been placed on him returning.
