Bristol City transfer rumours rated including Blackpool, Derby, Hibernian, and Ipswich stars

15 players have either been linked with a move to Bristol City or out of Ashton Gate - we rate the rumours so far.

Nigel Pearson earlier this week told Bristol City fans not to believe everything they see when it comes to transfer rumours.

For some reason, the Robins are a club that tends to have a lot of speculation about them, with some targets reasonable, whilst others you couldn't really see happening. In some cases, it's an agent putting Bristol City's name in the mix to try and drum up interest in their players, whilst others have actually come to fruition.

As for the business done so far at Ashton Gate, the signing of Rob Dickie was one that started on the Friday, and was finished on the Monday. Ross McCrorie meanwhile had been linked for almost two months before he put pen-to-paper on his deal with City, and his future was discussed quite openly by all parties. The third arrival of the summer Haydon Roberts kind of appeared out of the blue, as a replacement for Joe Bryan, who did have talks about a return to the West Country, but now it looks like he’ll be unveiled as a Millwall player shortly.

The lack of competitive matches in the off-season means speculation goes into overdrive, and there’s been some interesting names linked in, but as for outgoings, there’s only been one real name worth mentioning and that’s Alex Scott. Every day there seems to be some kind of update on Scott from the national press, claiming there’s a development from a Premier League club, but as it stands there’s been no bid, and he’s expected to start the 2023/24 season.

Scott’s just one of 5 players that have been linked with a Bristol City transfer, here we take a look at what’s been said so far and if anything will happen.
