Bristol City predicted XI vs Sunderland: Liam Manning set to make one key change for EFL Championship clash - gallery

The Robins host Sunderland on Saturday

Bristol City will be setting their sights on a first win in four matches when they host EFL Championship outfit Sunderland at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

The Robins go into the match off the back of a 2-1 midweek defeat to Blackburn Rovers, when despite being two goals down, rallied to put in a strong second-half display.

Before that, Liam Manning's side drew away Huddersfield Town and were narrowly defeated by both Southampton and Norwich City.

A big boost for Saturday is that Nahki Wells could be available for selection. The Bermudan has missed 10 matches with an ankle problem, but his manager hinted that the forward could return soon - whether that is from the start or off the bench remains to be seen.

Mark Sykes netted against Rovers in midweek and will be a key player against the Black Cats, while Jason Knight was taken off in the second half on Tuesday so he should be ready to start again.

City, though, will face a tough task against a managerless Sunderland. The EFL Championship giants defeated Premier League hopefuls Leeds United last time out thanks to Jobe Bellingham's goal and edged past West Bromwich Albion before that.

Sunderland currently sit in 6th place in the table, seven points and nine positions above City, but, the competitive nature of the league means that the Robins could move into the top half with a victory.

Last season, this fixture ended in a narrow 3-2 win for Sunderland in a thrilling affair, and there could be plenty of goals this time.

Here's how I think the Robins will set up...
