Nigel Pearson’s men conceded chances, but they were clinical with their own to come out on top at Ashton Gate.

City appear to be moving in the right direction, but they could do with a couple of new signings ahead of the summer window slamming shut.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours concerning the Robins and their Championship rivals.

City cause Cardiff row

City’s win over Cardiff appears to have sparked quite the reaction from Bluebirds boss Steve Morison.

“I told them today, ‘I’m fed up with defending you, you’ve got to put the ball in the back of the net - that’s your job’,” said the Cardiff boss of his frontmen.

“‘You get your moments, you have to put the ball in the back of the net’.

“That’s exactly what I told them. But the plus point is we are getting them the chances, they just need to put the ball in the back of the net.”

Hause transfer

Watford have completed the signing of Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause.

Hause was not expected to play regularly at Villa Park this season, and he has now joined the Hornets on a season-long loan deal.

The signing will be a big boost for Rob Edwards’ side as they aim to secure promotion back to the top flight.

Scully race

Sunderland are said to be involved in a battle to land Lincoln City star Anthony Scully.

According to The Northern Echo, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Sheffield United and Blackpool are all involved in the race to sign the striker.

Scully scored 15 and assisted seven for Lincoln last season.
